Daniel Harris III – Jazz at the Center

Stockton, California native Daniel Harris III is a premier trumpeter, composer, and bandleader recognized for his dynamic sound, compelling leadership, and transformational live performances. With the release of his debut album, Ubuntu, Harris has firmly established the foundation for a brilliant career.
An alumnus of UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music, Harris has shared stages with formidable talents including Jahari Stampley, Terrace Martin, and Isaiah Collier and the Chosen Few. His artistry and community advocacy have earned him prestigious accolades, including the Bay Area Jazz and Blues Young Artist Award and the inaugural California Alliance for Jazz: Black Lives Matter Scholarship.
Beyond the stage, Harris is deeply committed to musical and social initiatives. Through his record label, KnowMedium, he cultivates vibrant creative hubs across Stockton, West Oakland, and Los Angeles, empowering the next generation of artists. Now, he brings his powerful original compositions to the Center for Musical Arts for an unforgettable performance.
