HISTORY OF THE TRUMPET
The trumpet is one of the world’s oldest instruments, with early versions made of horn, bronze, or silver dating back to ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Initially used for military signaling and ceremonial fanfares, its piercing tone made it ideal for broadcasting messages over vast distances.
The instrument underwent a dramatic transformation in the early 19th century with the invention of the piston valve.
