THE SHED
INTERMEDIATE-ADVANCED
WEDNESDAYS 5:30-7PM
The Shed Sessions give anyone the opportunity to learn jazz standards in a group from professional jazz musicians.

SHED SESSIONS
Led by Daniel J Owens and Nate Furgason, the sessions are a way to learn jazz one tune at a time.
At the beginning of every month, we choose a tune to dissect and learn it top to bottom. We talk about things like theory, improvisation, and exercises you can do at home to improve. We meet every Wednesday of the month leading up to the Jam Session on the last Wednesday.
The Shed Sessions are a way to meet other musicians, learn about the history of jazz, and learn the music. The tunes are a list of frequently called tunes at jam sessions and college auditions.

LAST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH
JAM SESSION
The last session of the month is where things get exciting! The Jam Session is where we can put what we’ve learned to the test.
Unlike other sessions where we focus on fundamentals, the Jam session is less instruction and more performance. Be ready to bring your soloing stuff!

WORKSHOPS
BEGINNER
COMING SOON
Workshops are group lessons where students learn songs, technique and music notation & music theory together.
This is intended to be a first step for anyone new to the instrument, or who wants more time with their instrument.
Workshops are a great addition to Lessons or Ensembles as a way for students to have a second place to spend time with their instrument in practice.
