The Bridge – Live Jazz at the Center

The Bridge is a hard-driving post bop jazz quintet, focused on the music of Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, and other great bop artists.

This group of musicians have been playing together for years, bonded by the creation of intense, driving bop music. Greg Grocholski (trumpet), Mateo Ruiz (tenor sax), Chet Chwalik (piano), Rob Lemas (bass), Scott Gordon (drums) are killer Sacramento based musicians who have played various local spots such as the Torch Club, 58 Degrees and Holding, and Twin Lotus Thai. Bringing in the classic fast paced jazz sound from the 1960’s with Freddie Hubbard, Jazz Messengers, and Miles Davis tunes, this group of musicians will get you out of your seat.

At the Center

The Center for Musical Arts proudly presents our “at the Center” concert series, where our goal is to give Sacramento musicians the event space they deserve. Music school by day, concert venue by night—our listening room features a stage, baby grand piano, and an intimate 30-seat capacity.
