DESCRIPTION:Timothy Gay\, known in the music community as “Timmy G\,” has become a staple in the Sacramento music community\, performing with a wide range of Black American Music groups. Known for his work with the ensemble Urban Cr3ationZ\, he has appeared at many of the city’s premier venues\, including Torch Club\, Flamingo House\, Shady Lady Saloon\, and 58 Degrees and Holding. An alto saxophonist with a versatile voice\, Timothy has performed with many ensembles across his many stops such as the jazz group Rare Standard in Detroit\, the horn funk band Tha Exchange in Reno\, as well as contemporary projects like the Magic Toor Bus. Don’t miss the chance to experience one of his most personal performances yet—an evening that promises to be among the most compelling in Sacramento’s jazz scene. \nAt the Center \nThe Center for Musical Arts proudly presents our “at the Center” concert series\, where our goal is to give Sacramento musicians the event space they deserve. DESCRIPTION:Ronin Ewell is a skilled entertainer who has experience in many styles who is celebrating the release of his new album Resonant Dreams. \n\n\n\n\nThis performance is going to be a celebration of the hard work and skill that has been put together by Ronin Ewell over years and years of performance. Playing a mix of jazz and other Black American Music genres\, they are going to do a collection of their own originals and arrangements. A drummer not only for his own projects\, but also working at local Catholic Churches\, and playing with the Reggie Graham trio\, Ronin has left his mark across Sacramento’s musical space.
